Integrated 3D LLC (i3DMFG) is the premier 3D metal manufacturing company in the Pacific Northwest. Our production facility is in Redmond, OR. We are seeking a select group of experienced, highly motivated, forward-thinking individuals to join our expert team.

Position Overview:

The Director Manufacturing Operations is responsible for managing the AM production team. The scope of this role includes communicating timely information for production scheduling, hands-on troubleshooting on AM machines issues with the vendor, interacting with quality to determine product conformance, and operating within our Quality Management System. This role will also help develop operational procedures and policies to maintain an efficient, effective and high-quality manufacturing technology and elaborating best practice solutions for the i3D LLC ecosystem.  Furthermore, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a strong attention to detail with an organizational and detailed mindset, proactively takes ownership of his/her responsibilities, is punctual in attendance and meeting goals, and remains flexible with scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate both internally with i3D team members and with AM vendors to optimize machine efficiency.
  • Manage workload and maintain a production schedule to for high quality, on-time delivery to our customers.
  • Understand how to apply the use of Integrated 3D™ LLC’s equipment (including AM printers, sieving stations, powder removal systems, downdraft tables) and external vendors to achieve customer requirements.
  • Report trends and observations which may necessitate recalibration or system repairs.
  • Build a strong relationship with i3D team members to gain a cohesive work environment.
  • Build a strong relationship with vendors to gain more reliable service.
  • Operate within the Quality Management System.
  • Provide data needed for job reports.
  • Maintain adherence to process controls and information management protocols.
  • Be proactive in identifying production bottlenecks. .e.g. Inventory, commonly replaced spare parts.
  • Maintain good housekeeping environment. Build a “clean as you go” mentality.
  • Perform administrative, part post-processing, and general workshop duties as needed.
  • Proactively report to Management on utilization, job status, non-conformance, etc.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of AM production experience.
    • Working knowledge of EOS systems or similar in a production environment.
    • Working knowledge of Magics, and EOS software.
    • Quality or process qualifications would be beneficial
    • Hands-on experience operating 3D printers. Ideally EOS metal systems.
    • Proficient workshop skills.
    • Experience in Additive Manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
    • Experience in AM safety protocols.
    • Knowledge of AM powder removal systems.
    • Ability to trouble-shoot AM systems.
    • Work history demonstrating exposure to like industrial manufacturing environment
    • Good time management and attention to detail is a must.
    • Excellent references from previous employers.
    • Clean Drug Test.
    • Clean record/background check.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Open Project)
  • Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) experience a plus.
  • CAD experience a plus.
  • Background in metal fabrication, mechanical, or construction is a plus.
  • Proficient at working with your hands using various tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO, AS9100, ITAR.
  • Working in a manufacturing shop environment a plus.
  • Critical thinker.
